Nataliya Alexandrovna Kurkina(Shemarova) was born in the village of Palekh, Ivanovo Region, on August 3, 1974.
She comes from a family of artists, a daughter of A.M. Shemarov and L.V. Shemarova.
She studied in Palekh Art School in 1989-1994.
Themes of her works are folklore and literature.
Nataliya organized her first personal Exhibit in 1998.
One of her works was purchased by well-known Holland collector Mr.Ritman and presented to a State Museum of Palekh Art where displayed now.
